Look no further for a summer album. San Cisco by San Cisco is an upbeat, fun and lively debut album
from the group. Originally from Australia, the group released Golden Revolver
EP and Awkward EP before dropping their first album in 2012. After listening to
Awkward, I was excited to see the
group topped their joyous melodies in their new album.
Starting off the album by welcoming people with a “Hello” in
their intro track “Beach”, it was clear the group grew into their sound. Using
colourful keyboard arrangements and unique harmonies, the San Cisco kept their
new pieces lightweight and perfect for the beach.
Songs like “Lyall” kept the collection moving with great
pace, however “Hunter” and “Mission Failed” slowed down the album due to odd
placements. My personal
favourites, “Fred Astaire”, “No Friends”, and “Metaphor”, kept me dancing and
enjoying their latest project.
Overall, the album is perfect for the poolside with an easy
progression that keeps you foot tapping in every track. San Cisco never fails
to uplift spirits and dance around in a nice afternoon in the sun creating a
great album to jam to throughout the summer months!
