woman - Rhye

Genre: Jazz/ Alternative R&B
Year Released: 2013
Label: Universal Music

Where have you been all of my life, Rhye? At first listen, the duo resemble the works of Sade, Rhye easily transcends to all music tastes. Comprised of instrumentalist Robin Hannibal and singer Milosh, the two blend together to make an incredibly talented duo.

After being recommended by a friend, I cannot stop listening to Woman’s amazing collection of smooth jazz, easy piano chords and soft vocals. Needless to say, I have a shameless obsession with their album. With various instruments incorporated in every track, you get lost in the production of sounds and vocals.

After listening to this album at least once a day, every song appears flawless with distinct progressions, chords and beats. The vocals compliment every track and resemble an instrument in certain riffs. By the end of the collection, you wonder when the duo will release their next musical project.

Rhye’s Woman is the perfect example of a flawless musical project between two talented musicians. With great production, instrumentals, and vocals, the duo created an absolutely remarkable collection of quality songs that can be listened to in every mood, season and location. If you haven’t listened to this album, bless yourself with the gift of Rhye.
